Reesey caps stunning return as A's enjoy Devon tour

28 Aug 2013

Reesey and the Aldenham Tourists were left scratching their heads in wonder as to why he ever gave up the game as he pulled off the champagne moment of the 2013 tour.

Stephen shook off his sore head after suspicions of foul play with his drink the preceeding Knight and took to the field with his brand new 'Slazenger' whites (other brands are available from our online store). Little did the audience know what was about to happen as Steve shakily got off mark. Steadily, his confidence grew and as the cheers of the crowd grew louder, Reesey's swings became more dominant, hammering his way to an unbeaten 69* on his return to Aldenham and cricket after an 8 year hiatus, sharing the game's top score with Karan Barot who managed to pass 1000 runs for the season in the process.

Man of the match plaudits were given to Reesey however for his stunning knock and he was over heard in the bar afterwards saying; 'If you'd have offered me a 69 with Karan this morning I would have been all over it!"

Meanwhile the weather managed to hold off for the completion of all three games which Aldenham took advantage of to claim three wins from three and leave Tour Organiser Pete Munroe delighted with the outcome.

The Lavender House Hotel was as welcoming as usual and all of the A's are already looking forward to seeing Keith, Carol and the team again in 2014!

Great tour guys!
