It only took 6 games and the whole of the month of May for Saturday skipper Chewit to finally register on the averages but he managed to break his duck and snare a 3-fa in Saturday's close fought but ultimately losing encounter with Waxlow.

Unfortunately it seemed his season revival was short lived. On Sunday he lasted just two overs after struggling with his line and length before dropping a catch and clattering into young Dan Knight, causing the youngster to take an injury break before pulling up lame himself with a back injury after bending over to pick up a ball.
