Aldenham Cricket Club v Frogmore on Sun 07 Sep 2014 at 1300
Aldenham Cricket Club Won by 8 wickets

Match report Dithering at the toss, Char finally elected to bowl and opened with himself and Danny Morgan. Skip Char picked up the first 2 wickets before Mr Barot decided to turn up having raded Greggs bakery (other Bakeries are available) for afternoon tea. Danny plugging away at the other end wasn't getting much joy so was replaced by the coolest man in Hertfordshire Darpan 'New car every year' Gorsia who deserved his 1 for 6 off 6. Dan Knight was given the Social Club end having had his first proper night on the sauce looked a little dehydrated but bowled well in patches but couldn't find a break through. Obviously giving everybody a game, Karan was given a go bowling his variety of lines and lengths and actions but finally sorted himself out and got 2 important wickets in a row including his second victim leaving a straight 1....apparently it turned and was deceived in the flight, fear of facing Karan and the turn.....for me Im glad there was a hill. Still padded up, the big man Morgan finished things off with a fantastic Michelle (5fer) taking all the plaudits with a bowled and 4 catches behind the stumps (Russell 2, Haque 1 and Matt B 1) sweating in all areas possible off 17 longand exhausting overs!!!!

Half the team enjoyed a decent tea as Tea boy Barot obviously decided to go for Quality rather than quantity and took some abuse in the process!!!

The team of opening batsmen lead by Letts and Russell lead the team at a higher tempo than usual stricking some lusty blows through mid wicket, square leg and mid wicket took the A's to 24 before Robin flicked a half tracker to the specialist fielder Readings (previously leaving a straight 1) who took a fantastic catch at leg gully.
Another late comer Sanghvi joined the Chairman and 95 runs later the hosts were toying with Frogmores leg side field until SDL was deceived by the 11 year old superstar Broxton who clipped the top off Middle ending a match winning partnership. The Pirate Lee Burrows finished things off 6 overs later ending another win for the Sunday Sensationals by 8 wickets. Sanghvi ending on 71 not out with some non conventional shots and celebrated with a pathetically taken Ice Bucket Challenge....make sure you donate Sach and Robin!!!!

MOM was tightly contested...Letts, Sanghvi both with their first 50s of the season, Barot 2 wickets in 2 balls, Matt Bazeleys contribution of 1 catch (sorry mate), Ittys 3 catch...we'll have that jug next week and of course Danny (who was still cooling and drying himself) who was given the award!
