Match report Sunday kicked off at 1pm on Fulmer cricket ground in Slough with Fulmer CC v Aldenham Cricket Club. It was an exciting warm morning, sun shining bright with turf looking like a nice batting wicket at least I thought so!!

Skipper Baz graciously won the toss and we were batting first again , Chairman and James opened the innings it was great start indeed with some flashy drives by the duo , and then came the yorker and Simon (14 runs) was amazed to see his wickets fly off (ball was quick btw),… DK joined in and was already off the mark after few misses with a stunning boundary, was looking like a decent partnership and wicket .. James (32) was bowled (the ball kept really LOW ..hard luck mate!!) followed by couple of good knocks by DK and Majid …DK departs at 26 …felt the runs were coming but not enough …
Tim (48) with a stunning innings (dropped 4 times hahaha) fell short of a half ..tidy knocks by Ebay and quick knocks by the lower order made ACC reach a dependable target of 223 with loss of 8 wickets at 40 overs

Skipper Baz was so kind enough to make me try with the NEW ball (I don’t know how I got away from full tosses hahah lucky me)…. after a decent toil, Ahmed got his first wicket helped by a marvellous catch from Doughty ..Jimbo got to a flying start with a decent spell and 2 wickets on his name …post drinks the game was sliding away from us (at least I felt so )..ACC bounced back with a brilliant spell from the Skipper (3 wkts) , a blinder runout from DK and some pivotal catches turned around the game ..knocking them all out at 171 … It was a good game seeming a bit against the tide initially that turned around our way with a convincing win of 52 runs , brave display by ACC and many more victories to come our way.
