Match report Glorious day for cricket in north London where ACC troops turned up to follow their leader of men skipper of the day and ACC's best player ever ever ever Letts junior.Apart from the drop outs post team selection a rather unusual drop out last min as ACC's legend Dickie D could not find his car keys hence can't play anymore. Apparently he had looked everywhere but seems to have lost them.
Someone suggested Uber but would probably be quicker for Dickie to find those keys then to book an Uber. Kyle Wallcott came to resuce last min and ACC found a like for like replacement for Dickie D.


New Calypsonians won the toss and batted first (35 overs game).Skipper of the day looking around the team for spin options but struggling as we had a team where everyone could bowl a bit of spin but would rather not if that makes any sense.

Kyle and Sheikh opened the attack for ACC.After a few smoking quick deliveries from Kyle he was unfortunate not to get a wicket but steady sheikh managed to get Bobby out bowled.Quiet celebration for obvious reasons when Bobby gets out.Sheikh continued to bowl well and managed to get another wicket caught by short mid wicket specialist S Sanghvi. First change saw the return of ACC's ex team selector Dan Morgan bowling to Vince F.Dan was welcomed back with a 6 over covers by Vince F. Vince set in and 6's galore for a while took NCC to 90-3. D Morgan was now steaming in bowled Pandit out for 22. Skipper Letts junior came on to bowl aiming to get Vince out.First attempt loud LBW appeal which was denied surprisingly and Letts Junior fuming (not surprisingly) and possibly exchanged a few pleasant words with Vince F. By now Vince was on 49 took a single of his thigh pad which was given as leg bye however the NCC players clapped for Vince's 50 from the pavilion.They were soon corrected and asked to sit back down. Letts junior now adamant to get Vince F out clean bowled him for 49. Few more runs from NCC middle order and they reached 199 with Ebay getting 3 wickets to finish of a decent bowling performance by ACC. Fantastic 4 not out by NCC's all time legend Larry Waters. Also worth mentioning a fantastic catch on the boundary by the fully stretched Needs.

ACC were positive to register a big win with a mixture of members and non members in the batting line up there was hope. S Sanghvi and S Letts opened and S Sanghvi had a swift exit out for 1 edged to first slip which bought Needs to the wicket. S Letts after a fidgety start and being dropped on 4 a member of his own Royal family suggested S Letts should perhaps retire from cricket. S Letts made the most of his second life and played some glorious shots along with Needs.S Letts eventually out for 35. C Hayliey got in and out for 5 looking for some coaching lessons soon.
Skipper of the day Letts junior came in to join Needs who had already dispatched a few over the short legside boundary and had passed 50 was in no mood to block anything. ACC were approx 100-3.

Letts junior and Needs put up a fantastic show with a lot of 2's and dispatching anything pitched up or short for 4 or 6. Very quickly ACC reached 200 in 25.3 overs with Needs 78 Not out and Letts junior 64 not out. MOM- Needs

BIG win for ACC and perhaps this is as close as ACC would ever get to get the feeling of playing in the Caribbean.
