Hatch End II v Aldenham Cricket Club Aldenham Cricket Club on Sat 09 Jul 2016 at 1300
Aldenham Cricket Club Won by 8 wickets

Match report Parish Domination Continues As ACC Crush Hatch End.

Aldenham were forced to show patience with the ball as Hatch End opener scored the first 50 of the season against the Saracens leagues new boys.

Windy conditions made it tricky for both sides ACC openers Sunday skipper Gay lad and Leavers bowling tidy spells, not going for many but not getting through much of the Hatch end line up who were digging in for the long haul.

Vicious pacer Ammo and Stallion Skipper Nick Hale changed the attack with Ammo taking 3 wickets including 2 in a row with a stunning slip catch from leavers giving the visitors the opportunity to crowd the bat for a hat trick ball. The skipper took a different approach trying to tempt the batsman with a variety of deliveries only to have them patted back at I'm by the hatch end stalwart. Nick got the better of the opener only to be let down by former fielder K Barot, the response "Don't worry, he knows where he's batting" from the skipper.

A 2 Over cameo of contrasting quality from part timer Barry Letts yielded a wicket of his first ball, but was hauled off after a troublesome 2nd.

C. Munroe jnr got his first wicket in his 10 overs. Next ball a massive juggle from once considered "safe hands" Barot eventually claimed on the move, Another hat-trick ball! nervous Munroe runs up, delivers a questionably high full toss, big swing, leading edge, up over Ammo scampering back, and taken! HAT-TRICK!!! the crowd goes wild, Munroe goes from 22-0 to 22-3.

After a reasonable tea the parishioners had the task of scoring 133 from 40 overs to maintain their 100% record even if that is not enough to be top of the league at present. Munroe clubs one into the road first over forcing the home side to unwrap a new nut. Munroe continued to dominate the lack lustre attack in a man of the match batting display of power and technique, reached 50 in the 9th over to the despair of the home side and the delight of is adoring fans prompting a Viking style chant from his Octogenarian Grandparents that I will never forget.

Simo went LBW for 13, Frosty got bowled after swinging and hitting a couple and swinging and missing more, and Watfa, on a pair got dropped on 0 managed to finish it off with a couple of boundaries,

On to a lovely BBQ at the Letts chataux to round off a fantastic day.
