Match report Aldenham welcomed Rivets to the home of cricket eager to put the previous weekend's rain and unconventional wicket behind them.

Rivets, batting first, were typically agressive from the outset but early wickets from Charlie Munroe and Dan Morgan meant the game was evenly poised at drinks. Dan Knight proved too hot to handle in the middle overs as a consistent run of outstanding delivers netted him 5 wickets. Basil Letts and Wardy were the unlucky bowlers who went largely unrewarded as Rivets were bowled out for 171, Wardy however managing to draw out a rare event at Aldenham, a catch from Nic!

After tea Lee Burrows fell early bringing Chris Munroe to the crease. From the outset Chris attacked in typical swashbuckling style and scored freely despite some pretty reasonable opposition bowling. Robin Russell proved a good foil at the other end as he wore down the opposition pace attack with his obdurate defence. The crowd kept themselves amused by running a book on how many dot balls the Russler would face before next scoring. Dougie Trail, having earlier injured himself in the field, seemed to be determined to drink a pint for ever aggresive shot Robin played. Chris, at the other end, moved seemlessly to his second hundred of the season and Aldenham coasted to a 9 wicket victory with Chris finishing on 121*. Another big win for the Parish, how long can we maintain this unbeaten run?
