Match report The visit of Old Citizens was the order for the Parish and regular skipper Chris Hewett returned having found nothing better to do with himself on the day. The weather had been atrocious the night before, although somehow the pitch had managed to dry itself by kick off, Chewit won the toss and wisely elected to bowl.

Perhaps fancying a bit of rabbit, the skipper opted to open the bowling with Sen Bala who managed to take a wicket with the first ball of the match, sparking a quite spectacular fit of anger from the Old Citizens opener. Tim Hale opened from the other end and soon got in on the action, bagging a brace before Morgan and the skipper were brought on. Dan took another wicket before a spectacular collapse brought about by the left arm bowling of skipper Hewett drawing four catches and ending up on with a 5fa conceding only 7 runs. Old Citz all out for 89.

Quite a crowd of inlaws had turned up to watch newly wed Karan Barot today and despite it looking like he wasn't going to get much of a game as Mayuren Bala stood and delivered 41, he was still pacing around the pavilion nervously. Soon enough after the Citizens finally managed to hold onto a couple of catches he was in, his new wife holding aloft a banner wishing him well, though once he was out of earshot even Rupal proclaimed to want to see the cocky indian superstar fail. The first ball was bowled and Karan, not well known for his ability to handle pressure, took an almighty swipe, skying it high in the air, (un)fortunately landing just clear of the slightly immobile gentleman at mid on and Aldenham continued comfortably on their way to chasing down the total before tea.
