Match report Aldenham ground out a win at the superb facilities of Tring.

Skipper Char won the toss and elected to bat, much to the surprise of his team who were already changed anticipating another lost toss and being stuck in the field.

Basil and Lee Burrows opened the batting. Basil motored his way to 120 before deciding he was too good for the oppo and retiring himself. Watfa made 72 as Aldenham declared on 257.

A tea which matched the facilities was heartily enjoyed by the Aldenahm faithful before taking to the field to attempt to take the eleven Tring wickets required for the victory on a batting friendly track.

Luckily the A's could turn to Jerry "I'm retired" Knight who weaseled his way to a 4-fa, ably supported by skipper Char who also grabbed 4 before Dan Knight stole the last wicket with an absolute jaffa to snatch a win with 3 balls remaining.
