Match report A cloudy day saw a hungover Aldenham side take on the Old Citizens in a timed game following the birthday's of Messrs Barot and Ward. Skipper Charlie won the toss and elected to bat, much to the delight of his suffering team.

Opener Chris Munroe made a sold start, contributing 36 as Lee and Karan fell around him before too found the hands of a fielder for an astonishing 10th time out of his 11 innings this season.

Nic Hale and Tanios Watfa shared a century partnership, Tanios making 73 and Nic 43 before both fell attempting to up the scoring rate as Aldenham declared 5 minutes early with 215 on the board.

After a fine tea provided by Lee Burrows, Aldenham took to the field looking to grab the 10 wickets required for the win. Char made the early breakthrough before the Citizens bunkered down with the OC opener making 70 and dragging his side within sight of a rare victory, however a couple of wickets from Tim, debutant Joe and Colin saw the runs dry up and the Old Citizens shut up shop as the fixture petered out to another draw as Aldenham spilled several late chances to snatch the victory.
