Match was Drawn

Match report UCS won the toss and elected to put ACC in to the field. Man of the match Tim Hale opened the bowling alongside Tanios Watfa. Tim bowled a combative spell with excellent lines and in-swing, and was unlucky not to pick up any wickets on the day. The UCS skipper opened the batting and cashed in, eventually being dismissed by Watfa for 111. It was on the whole a good performance in the field from the As despite the late omission of skipper Chris Hewett due to work commitments, Simon Letts the skipper for the day. Some middle order hitting alongside the UCS skipper meant a big total to chase for A's.

UCS Old Boys 224-4 from 39 overs

The A's got off to an excellent start in reply, Itty Haque (21) hitting some lusty blows. Nic Hale was unluckily run out after Simon drove back straight back to the bowler, who got something on the ball only for it to clip the non-strikers stumps, Nic stranded. Simon (37) soon followed. Chris Munroe and Karan set about the bowling with patient play and some big hits, however Chris went for one too many, dragging on to his stumps. Karan & Nish Shah soon followed, and it was left to Mayuren Bala and Mike Ward to hold on for the draw at the end.
