End of season works party

16 Sep 2015

I am delighted to observe that you have all clearly had a fantastic and typically successful season but like all good things they must come to an end.  And when they do there is a certain amount of tidying up and sorting out to do so that you can all come back next summer and start again.

But next year I hope to be able to re-join you on the pitch!!

And so…….

You are all cordially invited to attend the very special, like no other, once in a season…….

End of Season Works Party!!!!!

Please meet at the club at 0930hrs on Sat 10 Oct 15 – for those that struggle with early starts just stay up all night then come straight to the ground.

Unusually this is the same day as the Awards Dinner but will give us an opportunity to discuss who’s in the running for which Award, consider Averages, Performance of the Season and mull over the Duck Cup Contenders.

As ever, the more people that can make it the quicker things get done – just like last year Mr Vintage Whitehead is offering an exclusive package with the opportunity to shovel and rake 3 tonnes of loam (soil to those that don’t garden!) and flick seed across the beloved turf.  And no doubt there will be several Pavilion tasks for those that want to operate a hoover or get their tool box out and fix something!

So please don’t be shy or make excuses – you’ve enjoyed the cricket so please come and do your bit.
