Aldenham Cricket Club - Membership

Membership

The main purposes of the club are to provide facilities for, and to promote participation in, the amateur sport of Cricket In Aldenham and the surrounding area.

Membership of the club is open to anyone interested in the sport on application, regardless of sex, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, or other beliefs, except as a necessary consequence of the requirements of cricket.

The costs of membership are as follows:

The annual membership fee is £30 and in addition, in the first year of membership only, there is a £5 joining fee.

There are 12 winter net sessions, which are £6 per session attended.

There are approximately 50 full games a year, the first 20 games for a player are charged at £12 per game played, and any subsequent games are charged at £10 per game played.  In addition there is a £2 fine for not being at the ground on time to assist with the pre-match preparations.

There is a concessionary rate for those who are unwaged or in full time education of £6 per game played.  The match fee for juniors (under 18 years of age at the start of the season) is £3 per game played.

There are also a small number of limited over games, typically 4 or 5 a year depending on our progress through the competitions we enter.  The match fee for these games is £6 per game played.

The total annual cost for even our most enthusiastic members is therefore less than £500.  In the event that a member does exceeds this, then no match fees will be levied once a total of £520 has been incurred.
